the valentino exhibition at the museo dell'ara pacis in rome is a stunningly beautiful synergy of ancient rome and contemorary art, architecture and design. the exhibition is dramatically presented in tandem with the preserved antiquity of augustus. it is visually compelling from every angle and the design artistry of valentino is grouped according to color. this has the effect of drawing the eye to each individual creation to see how many differing designs he has conceptualized with eacch color. it is a masterful exhibition and rome is the perfect setting for it.
